For the specific details about this problem select:
Excel Office 2019 'Table highlighting is disabled because this page uses internet explorer compatibility mode' problem
4. Evaluation and Criticism Excel Office 2019
There are also problems with Visual Studio 2022, Visual Basic 2022
- In order to investigate do the following:
- First select an Excel program
- After the program opens, From the Top/Menu line: Select Tab 10 "Help".
- This brings you to a page which shows: "Help", "Feedback" and "Training". Select "Help"
- This brings you to a page which shows: "Search in Help". A table "To work" with 5 subjects, #5 = "Solve Problems " and a Table "Suggested Help Information" containing 6 subjects.
- All that information is not enough.
- What I need is detailed information of all the functionality behind the 11 Tab's in the main display. i.e.:
- 1 File, 2 Start, 3 Insert, 4 Page Layout, 5 Formulas, 6 Data, 7 Control, 8 Image, 9 Developers, 10 Help 11 Tell me what you want to do.
The actual title which each tab can be different, because they are translated from Dutch.
- It is funny, but when you select "Tell me what you want to do." you get some information about the 10 Tab's. That is partly what I want, but I need all information.
- And what is also funny, than you can delete the last Tab.
- Instead of Select "Help", Select "Feedback"
This display shows 3 boxes: "To give a compliment","Report a Problem", "To do a suggestion"
- Select: "Report a Problem". The information shown is too little, and very user unfriendly.
- Select: "To do a suggestion" This will bring you to the page:
https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/c23f3b77-f01b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472
The strange thing is that this page contains a lot of information.
Information requested under Filters is: Interactions, Platforms, Categories and Status
The details of these 3 boxes is not clear.
- It seems to me that Microsoft has a design problem.
When you use Excel in general you need information about the functionality of the package.
When macro's and visual basic is used you need more information. This is Tab 9 Developers.
In that case there are two issues.
- There can be what I call programming, software errors. In order to prevent these errors you need proper documentation about all the software commands, like IF then else, Open Close, Get Time and Date Etc.
What should be included is a good description of the error messages as a result of errors in the program.
For example: If you try to open a file that is already open.
- A whole different type of errors that are called system errors. This are errors, not caused by a programmer, but during execution, by the system.
Normally you expect that during the life time of a specific release these errors should be solved.
My personel opinion is that at the moment this is not the case. See also next item.
- A typical case is the 3. Excel Office 2019 Quary problem . If the functionality of Tab 6 Data changes during the life time of a specific release these problems can happen.

5. Evaluation and Criticism Visual Studio 2022, Visual Basic 2022
There are many problems with Visual Studio 2022, Visual Basic 2022
-
- First select a program. Select "Open a project or solution". Select a program file. Select "Openen"
- After the program opens, From the Top/Menu line: Select item 13 "Help". From the Tabel, Select #1 "View Help"
- This brings you into the Microsoft Paradise:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/not-in-toc/welcome-to-visual-studio-docs?view=vs-2022&f1url=%3FappId%3DDev16IDEF1%26l%3DEN-US%26k%3Dk(vs.ViewHelp)%3Bk(DevLang-VB)%26rd%3Dtrue
95% of what is shown on that page is not what I want. What I want is specific help for Visual Basic 2022 issues. What I get is general information about Microsoft.
- The evaluation of Visual Basic 2022 Documentation compared to the Excel Office 2019 Documentation is that the first is worse.
Specific because Visual Basic 2022 Documentation is mixed with C#, C++, Python, Javascript and F# documentation.
What you need is Visual Basic Documentation which is integrated into the Visual Basic Program.
What you have now is Visual Basic Documentation which is part of, and integrated with the Internet.
6. Upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 to Microsoft 365
